- The FINEST PCGS graded 1899 dime! The eye appeal is SUPERB! Bold, watery mirrored reflective fields contrast brilliantly against the boldly struck and fully frosted portrait of Liberty. Totally original silver centers are framed by amber-crimson, peachy-gold, and teal-blue toning on both sides, imparting a wonderful eye appeal. Only 846 proofs were struck. PCGS 1, NGC 1. The closest coin to have sold in the last 10 years to have sold in auction was the non-Cameo PCGS/CAC PR68 ex Eliasberg-Gardner, which sold in November 2015 for $14,570. While not CAC, this SUPERB CAMEO GEM is certainly going to attract very serious bidding competition from the collector! The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $18,500.
