Hard to imagine how this coin survived the Civil War era and remain in such a pristine condition. We really do love this GEM and rank it as HIGH END! Deep and glittering mirrors beam boldly from all over; they are clear, clean (only a tiny tick from 67), and are highly reflective. When you twirl the coin, it is like looking at a freshly formed sheet of ice. Both sides enjoy super gorgeous totally original swirling colors of blue/rose/pale green/gold. Mother Nature’s paint brush could not have done a better job! Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is gorgeous! ONLY 460 were minted. PCGS 8, NGC 3, CAC 4. PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $4,265 November 2017.
