- ISLE OF MAN. Penny, 1798. George III (1760-1820). PCGS PROOF-64 BN Secure Holder. KM-11; Prid-18a; S-7415a; C-MG31D-040. Second issue. "GEORGIVS III. D:G. REX. 1798" Laureate and draped bust of King George III facing right; Reverse: "QVOCVNQVE IECERIS STABIT" Triune (type 1). Very close to gem proof, and with a wonderful sheen in the tone lending much color. Original areas of orange still present, notably within the incuse legend producing an attractive contrast that brings out the legend inscriptions. Estimate: $700 - $1,000. PCGS #856644.
