详细说明: 1893 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-65 Deep Cameo (PCGS). CAC. Deeply mirrored fields wholly encircle frosty white devices that show no breaks in the textured frost applied to the recesses of the dies, the surfaces ringed in amber-gold at the peripheries that dilutes to clear champagne toward the frosty white centers. The Deep Cameo designation is a rarity among PCGS graded proof Morgan dollars, only 153 out of 7,836 proof Morgan dollars seen by PCGS meriting the designation, or just shy of 2%. It is only the first handful of strikes from fresh dies that will show the deepest cameo contrast, and not all dies were prepared to show the deepest cameo contrast possible. Though the 1893 is well known as one of the most weakly struck in the series, the current example has only a touch of weakness at the hair above the ear, while the usually very weak breast feathers on the eagle are quite well formed here. Here is a CAC-verified and very attractive survivor of a mintage of just 792 proofs.
