- 1840-O Liberty Seated Half Dime. No Drapery. Small O. MS-62 (PCGS). Warm golden-gray patina blends with soft satin luster on both sides of this overall smooth-looking example. Probably a candidate for Choice Mint State quality were it not for a typically soft strike in an early New Orleans Mint coin. The 1840-O is one of only two No Drapery, Stars Obverse half dimes from this Southern coinage facility, and it is rare in all Mint State grades. A find for the advanced collector specializing in New Orleans Mint or Liberty Seated coinage. PCGS# 4322. NGC ID: 232V. PCGS Population: 5; 10 finer (MS-65 finest).
