- A GEM quality brilliant proof with deeply reflective mirrors and well struck, frosted devices. Lots of contrast, just not enough for a CAMEO designation. A hint of a dusting of light gold at the obverse rim and we note, under very intense scrutiny with a strong glass reveals only the most minute hairlines. Only 710 Proof dollars were struck. PCGS 30, NGC 42. The last NGC graded example realized $5,170 in April 2015, that coin had lots of haze on the fields, which is absent from this GEM.
