- 1907 United States Assay Commission Medal. By Charles E. Barber and George T. Morgan. JK AC-51. Rarity-5. Silver. Specimen-64 (PCGS). 40 mm x 55 mm, plaque. This piece has handsome pewter-gray surfaces enhanced by subtle pale rose highlights around the borders. Otherwise virtually Gem, faint remnants of a fingerprint at the top of Roosevelt's jacket are noted for accuracy. The 1907 Assay Commission medal is an encore for the Barber-Morgan design of 1906 which, along with the previous Theodore Roosevelt portrait on the obverse, incorporated an updated reverse design with an eagle perched upon the Treasury Seal.
