- GERMANY. Munster. Taler, 1534. NGC AU-58. Dav-9584. A very nice example of the seventeenth century restrikes of the Wiedertaufertalers of the previous century. With a few tiny planchet cracks at the edge as is almost always found on this issue but these are no more than a few centimeters at most. What is especially appealing about this example aside from it near complete lack of circulation evidence is the handsome old collection toning which still exhibits some underlying luster among the legends. Highlights of gauzy blue and dusty orange peel are found all around the lettered faces. A well above average example with great eye appeal. Estimate: $800 - $1,200. NGC AU-58.
