- Elegant Empress Yun Lu and Peacock Fantasy in Gold (t) CHINA. Fantasy Gold Dollar, CD (1885). PCGS MS-61 Gold Shield. KMX-191; K-B14; cf. WS-1349-10. Empress Yun Lu and peacock issue. This highly intricate issue exhibits finely engraved dies with high relief motifs. The obverse depicts a stylized rendition of the Empress Yun Lu and the reverse displays an ornate border consisting of the characters "Xixi" or double happiness with a peacock in the center. The open fields show signs of handling consistent for the grade with wispy hairlines as one would expect from the designated state of preservation. The devices are complemented by attractive pale gold color in the fields with richer orange coloration hugging the devices and offering a pleasing appearance. Estimate: $15,000 - $30,000.
