- GERMANY. Empire. Alliance of Germany and Austria Silver Medal, 1914. Wilhelm II. PCGS SPECIMEN-62. cf. Zetzmann-3015. By C. Drentwett. Diameter: 33mm. Obverse: Busts of Wilhelm II and Franz Joseph I; Reverse: WELTKRIEG (world war) / 1914, monograms for both rulers on either side of sword. Matte finish variety. Pale white surfaces exhibit a matte texture throughout, though some antiquing (as made) provides additional contrast, especially on the reverse.
