- SWITZERLAND. Graubunden. 4 Francs, 1842. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder. Dav-372; KM-17; HMZ-2340a. Although this is usually collected with the shooting festival thalers, this was actually issued by the canton of Graubunden prior to confederation in 1848, hence the "4 SCHWEIZER FRANKEN" denomination. From a mintage of only 6,000 pieces. Bright, with a few light marks, but no obvious hairlines. Well struck with soft satin luster and quite good eye appeal. Estimate: $700 - $900.
