FROM THE FORMULA 1 COLLECTION. Tied for FINEST graded! We believe this is the Dr. Thaine B. Price--Eugene Gardner Collection coin, the few tiny ticks on the obverse match. A magnificent and SUPERB coin that displays a wonderful melange of green-gold, electric aqua teal, and blue/violet tones that come to live with a bold, brilliant underlying luster. The devices are crisply struck up, with full definition on both sides. The eye appeal is very nice, as are many high grade pieces. The 08-S is a very underrated date that is excessively rare in such high grade. PCGS 2, NGC 1. NONE ARE FINER at either service and this is the only one to ever sell in auction, realizing $17,625 in October 2014 and the current PCGS value is listed at $15,000.
