- 1749-Cow Sou Marque. Pau Mint. Vlack-289. Rarity-7. Fine-15 (PCGS). 37.1 grains. Rare date from this extremely difficult mint with only a handful of specimens surviving from all sous marque issues. This example is a deep, medium steel-gray in color. The surfaces are a little rough under magnification, but the mintmark and différents are legible and the date is clear save for the top of the last numeral. Provenance: From the Sydney F.
