A vividly lustrous and brilliant near Condition Census O-109a. The die state and variety are confirmed by the extensive die cracks on the reverse. The 5th Edition Overton-Parsley Condition Census is 66,64,64,63,63, and this PCGS MS62 CAC would rank as the fourth highest listed in the Spring 2022 revision of Stephen Herrman's AMBPR for the O-109A die state. A strong cartwheel luster blooms boldly from below a layer of dusty pewter patina, with dappled accents of apricot, lilac, rose, and gold. A borderline CHOICE example that has a good, bold strike and pleasing visual allure. PCGS 10, NGC 2, CAC 1. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $13,000 and there are no records for CAC-approved examples sold since the 2016 ANA auction when the Hamilton Collection O-107 sold for $10,869 in a weaker market.
