- FROM THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION PART III A very RARE pattern issue, marrying William Barber's Liberty Seated design paired with a Standard Silver reverse die. Called an "illogical combination" in the 10th edition of Judd, as neither side says UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. This is a Rarity-7+, with an estimated 4-6 examples known, struck in copper with a reeded edge. A bold deep, brick red color belies an overlay of rich violet-teal, with accents of magenta and tangerine that are brought out by a stunning reflective finish to the fields. The devices are razor sharp and stand out boldly in a glorious 3-D effect. The eye appeal is exceptional in every way! PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is the only PR64+ in the RB designation and there is just a single PR65 graded finer. Unpriced in the PCGS Price Guide a 64 RB is valued at $8,500 and at $10,000 in PR65. This coin is bound for a fabulous set of pattern half dollars. Good luck. Cert. Number 30911592 PCGS # 71174
