This piece is really the next best thing to owning an MS67! The quality is HIGH END. Velvety clean surfaces are as good as they get. We used a strong glass looking for lines, ticks, or frost breaks and found just a few trivial frost breaks in the dreaded right obverse. A full booming glowing luster makes this coin visible from a block away. Of course the coin is white and frosty. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and lack even minute problems. However, her head is weakly struck and we believe is what keeps this coin from an MS67 designation. The eye appeal is fantastic! PCGS 802, NGC 295, CAC 172. PCGS has graded 165 in MS66+. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $21,600-a crazy number in 2022. The current Collectors Universe value is only $4,500. Keep in mind, the next step up sold for $58,750.
