THE XANNO COLLECTION Fully struck with satiny smooth surfaces. The blazing mint red of this beauty is a pleasure to behold. All design elements are clear and bold including the shield lines which are complete. In 1879 the mintage of cents increased substantially from the previous years. Despite the generous mintage superb gems such as the present example are quite scarce. PCGS 56, NGC 4. Only 8 finer. The value in the PCGS Price Guide is $8,500.
