详细说明: In every Regency Auction there are coins that stop us in our tracks as we catalogue them. This coin is one of those coins; we are totally amazed by its stunning quality, eye appeal, and technical grade. It is simply unbelievable how beautiful this coin is in every way. Immaculate, truly PERFECT surfaces combine the deepest of beaming mirrors in the fields and thick creamy devices. The contrast is amazing. Peripheral violet and rose toning mixes with soft pastel iridescent hues that yield to virtually untoned centers. The central devices are dusted with just the faintest blush of iridescent golden tone. While a strong glass aids in locating a tick or two, these are microscopic and have ZERO impact on the most fabulous eye appeal. We are unable to truly describe how gorgeous this SUPERB GEM really is. Only 792 Proofs were struck. PCGS 6, NGC 8, CAC 7. Way back in January 2007, this coin sold for $16,100. That speaks volumes to the quality. Since then, examples have sold between $10,000 and $17,000. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $15,000. There are two PR68+ CAMs graded finer, neither of which have ever sold via major auction, and we suspect they are impounded in major sets right now, making this the FINEST available on the market right now.
