- Lot 530 1793 S-14 R5- Liberty Cap. PCGS graded Good-4.The highpoints of the devices are smooth but the rest of the planchet is covered with very fine roughness under rather glossy dark olive brown toning. The devices are a slightly lighter shade of steel brown. The only notable marks are an obvious rim dent left of the L in LIBERTY and fine vertical hairline scratches covering most of the portrait. The date is weak but easily readable, LIBERTY is relatively strong, and most of the legend on the reverse is visible. LDS. The bisecting die crack on the obverse is strong. Our grade is G5+ sharpness net AG3. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
