1831 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-108. Rarity-1. AU-58 (NGC). Deep golden gray surfaces, the obverse aglow with rich and bold sunset orange, bright crimson, fiery gold, and sea green iridescence, the reverse largely golden gray with just a touch of toning similar to that on the obverse. A pleasing example of the date and grade combination, and a coin that holds up well to magnified examination.
