- ITALY. Mint Error -- Broadstruck -- 5 Lire, 1926-R. Rome Mint. Vittorio Emanuele III. PCGS MS-65. KM-67.1. Struck without a collar, this example is somewhat larger in diameter than a standard 5 Lire. Quite a spectacular Gem with dished luster illuminating rich magenta surfaces. Deep and vibrant ruby, sapphire, and emerald coloration can be spotted around the obverse legends, while the reverse exhibits a somewhat unusual crescent toning pattern, likely the result of unconventional storage.
