详细说明: While there are certainly examples that grade higher than the presently offered 1953 Proof half dollar, we doubt many could match the exceptional and original eye appeal of this SUPERB GEM. The deeply reflective mirrored fields beam from all over, surrounded by a crimson, cobalt, and amber hued frame on both sides. The frosted devices stand out against the mirrored fields, imparting exceptional cameo contrast for a bold visual allure. PCGS 189, NGC 289, CAC 91. There are 8 in PR67+ CAM and 31 graded higher. The most recent example realized $2,280 in the 2019 ANA auction. While the Collectors Universe value in PR67+ CAM is $1,300, it jumps to $4,250 in PR68.
