FROM THE DR. STEPHEN DAVIDSON COLLECTION A highly eye appealing and softly toned GEM. Exquisite mirrored fields have a brilliant watery texture below a dusting of soft green, pale gold, and rosy-peach that pop in a light. The devices are boldly struck from a well executed blow from the dies. The eye appeal is lovely. Only 793 Proofs were struck. PCGS 22, NGC 33, CAC 4. The most recent example to sell was in 2018, realizing $2,640. The present GEM was last sold in 2013, realizing over $3,000.
