- 1833 Matron Head Cent. N-4. Rarity-4. AU-53 (NGC). An outstanding grade level for this scarce and popular variety. Sometimes referred to as an 1833/2 due to trace repunching of the last date digit. Light steely-brown surfaces are mildly abraded but there is lots of frosty luster to redeem the eye appeal. Provenance: From the John McBride Collection.
