- Circa 1864 New York Sanitary Fair medalet. Musante GW-673, Baker-362C, Fuld NY630BJ-1j. Rarity-8. Nickel Alloy. MS-64 (PCGS). 23.7 mm. Almost completely brilliant silver surfaces with just a faint fingerprint and a couple of tiny oxidation spots noted. Highly lustrous on the obverse, prooflike on the reverse and very attractive. Called nickel in Musante, though not pure, as it is not magnetic. Quite rare. Provenance: Ex William Spohn Baker Collection, to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania by bequest, November 15, 1897.
