This is a really neat, borderline SUPERB GEM. A rich frosty satin luster glows brilliantly in the fields. The surfaces are mostly a creamy/pearly silver with champagne-gold and icy-blue toning that blends to create a special opal-like bloom that is a true delight to behold. This coin was struck with so much force the planchet cracked at about 3:00 relative to the obverse. This mint made flaw adds lots of charm to this really neat coin. PCGS 132, NGC 89, CAC 38. There are 23 graded MS66+, not doubt inclusive of duplicate submissions. Do not let the Population Data fool you, the most recent PCGS/CAC coin sold back in April 2008, realizing $2,040. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $2,000. Scarce finer, this coin has a lot going for it and is worthy of a nice collection of this obsolete denomination. Cert.
