O-101. A wonderful, collector oriented grade, with medium pewter and lilac toning that yields to olive, gold and powder blue. Sharply struck up devices show off good definition despite some minor friction. There are a few minor scratches that we note under the tone and are totally unobtrusive to the eye appeal. This is NOT a dull example, like so many happen to be. PCGS 29, NGC 12. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,775 and the most recent example sold in February 2018 for $1,500. As the first overdate variety in the Capped Bust series, this pleasing AU coin will fit nicely in any Red Book set of collector grade Bust halves. Cert. Number 35680542 PCGS # 6091
