THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION SUPER CLEAN surfaces are nearly perfect--just a small planchet lamination at the base of rock and above the first 8 in the date is all that is apparent even under strong magnification. This piece has the appearance of being stored in tissue paper, whereby there is a slight haze to the overall surface, somewhat subduing the reflectivity, but in no way diminishing the underlying quality. A blush of faint gold toning is present on both sides. PCGS 51, NGC 46. PCGS Price Guide is $1,650. A tiny mintage of but 711 Proof pieces. A piece graded in January 2017 for $1,116.
