详细说明: 1847-O Seated Liberty Quarter. AU-58 (PCGS). A prized rarity in high grades and seldom offered unless a major collection comes to market like the present one. Fully struck on all devices save for a couple of upper stars that show partial radial lines to their centers, but the eagle's talons and feathers are all bold. Faint traces of die rust within the wings of the eagle when closely examined. Toned with a blend of medium blue and rose-russet gray, these colors appearing when examined under a light. No significant surface issues although a few shallow nicks and scuffs are present. Usual die state with minor cracks through the reverse legends, including a faint die crack down through the first T of STATES to the eagle's beak. The O mintmark is tilted left at the top, too broad on the right side and a bit clumsy in appearance. PCGS has seen three mint state examples above this, and just two as AU-58, so at this grade level all pieces are in the Condition Census for this date and mint.
