FROM THE SEATTLE COLLECTION A WONDER coin, especially for this particular date that generally comes darkly toned, splotchy and lackluster. Happily, this coin is the opposite of all of those issues. Deep mint bloom and flashy cartwheel luster are enhanced by wisps of champagne gold and soft rose toning. The strike is terrific and the eye appeal is sublime! Under a strong loupe, you can just make out a small toning spot near the U of UNITED. PCGS 97, NGC 96, CAC 16. Of this population, ONLY 8 coins have received the coveted + designation. Meanwhile, this is the ONLY + graded piece from either service that has received a highly desired CAC designation. An MS64+ PCGS graded piece sold at auction in October 2015 for $1,087.
