1874 Trade Dollar. MS-64 (NGC). CAC. OH. Wisps of vivid reddish-apricot iridescence blend with dominant pale-silver tinting on both sides of this lovely near-Gem. A softly frosted piece, and one that also appears smooth enough to evoke thoughts of an even higher grade. Among the scarcer Philadelphia Mint Trade Dollars, the 1874 has an original mintage of fewer than 1 million business strikes.
