- GREAT BRITAIN. Crystal Palace International Exhibition Award Gold Medal, 1882. PCGS SP-62 Gold Shield. 40 mm; 44.6 gms. Obverse of Eimer-1487. Struck by Pinches. VERY RARE. Female figure opens the doors of "SCIENCE" and "INDUSTRY"; Reverse: inscription within laurel wreath: "CRYSTAL / PALACE / INTERNATIONAL / EXHIBITION / 1882". The edge inscribed: "WHITE HOUSE MILLS. FOR DYNAMO MACHINE". A very appealing medal with charming design and impressive appearance. Normal contact marks noted under low magnification. Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000.
