- 1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime. LM-6. Rarity-6. EF-45 (PCGS). This richly toned example is awash in a bold blend of olive-gray and sandy-silver. The detail is well balanced for the assigned grade with all devices fully outlined and the entire design readily appreciable. Even close inspection with a loupe reveals only wispy handling marks from normal commercial use, while the in hand appearance is pleasingly smooth. This is a scarce die marriage of the 1795 half dime with examples elusive at all levels of preservation. Of course, this issue in its entirety enjoys strong numismatic demand as the more readily obtainable of only two in the brief and historic Flowing Hair half dime series.
