- 1870 Two-Cent Piece. Proof-66 BN (NGC). The smooth, glassy surfaces are a rich mahogany color with strong undertones of iridescent electric-blue and violet toning. A sharply struck specimen from this issue of 1,000 pieces, not many of which still exist in such an exemplary state of preservation. NGC Census: 5; 1 finer in Brown. PCGS# 3642.
