A beautifully and deeply toned GEM. Rich blues, gold's, and other iridescent hues blend over boldly reflective fields. Ms. Liberty is fully struck up, frosted, and stands out wonderfully against the mirrored fields creating a one sided cameo. The visual allure is excellent. Only 500 proofs were originally struck in the final year of the Civil War. PCGS 8, NGC 19. Like the two NGC coins that have sold since, this GEM sold for $3,819 in the 2013 Central States auction. Today, this coin is still worthy of a premium bid for its outstanding eye appeal. Cert. Number 952190-001 PCGS # 5561
