Enchantingly Rare Novodel for Peter's Brief Reign (t) RUSSIA. Silver Ruble Novodel, 1762-CNB. St. Petersburg Mint. Peter III. NGC AU-50. KM-N70; Bit-H43 (R2). An enthralling example, this novodel issue captures the flair of the brief reign of Peter III, the husband of his successor, Catherine II "the Great." Gunmetal gray toning dominates, with some deeper hues nearer the devices and some minor rub across the high points.
