With a healthy mintage of 1.855 million, the 03-S is common in lower Mint State grades, up through the MS65 level; at MS66 it becomes scarce, and in 66+ it is down right RARE! This stunning GEM is bordering on the SUPERB grade and it is UNIQUE finer. A blazing yellow-gold coloration is enlivened by a stunning satiny mint brilliance. Every detail is crisply struck from an exacting blow from the dies, rendering each design element to its fullest, sharpest definition. The eye appeal is stupendous! PCGS 35, NGC 41, CAC 9. There are 10 graded MS66+ at PCGS, and just a single MS67 graded higher. This coin brought $5,520 in July 2019--almost two years ago.
