What an exceptional Cameo GEM Proof half dime. Stunning in quality and presentation, this high end coin is among the five highest graded CAMEO Proof 1859 half dimes seen at PCGS. Ultra deep, smooth, glassy, shimmering mirrors beam all over. The blazing fields contrast against razor sharp and frosty devices. A blush of iridescence can be seen at different angles, giving this coin a great look. Only 800 Proofs were struck. PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 2. This is the ONLY PR65+ CAM graded at either service, and it sold back in 2012 for $5,175. Currently listed in the PCGS Price Guide at $4,750, there are just four graded higher at PCGS in the CAM designation.
