- CAMBODIA. Gold Franc Souvenir, 1902. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield. Gad-17; Lec-110. This restrike seldom appears on the market in this metal; usually the silver versions are encountered, and should be considered VERY RAREand highly sought after. This handsome survivor exhibits a decent strike for this issue with lovely satiny surfaces and light signs of handling keeping it from garnering a Gem designation. The satiny surfaces displaying light attractive sunset hued patina adding to its pleasing appearance sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters. Similar to the 1860 series in design and size, however dated 1902 and the word "SOUVENIR" replaces the denomination. Estimate: $5,000 - $6,000. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
