1800 Draped Bust Dime. JR-2. Rarity-5. AU-58 (NGC). A lustrous coin that shows considerable flash beneath rich shades of deep blue and crimson on the obverse and reverse, the toning somewhat mottled in appearance. The strike is sharp on the devices as well, and the surfaces are pleasing. A scarce die pairing and close to the Condition Census level for this variety. Considerably scarcer than the “type” dates of this series and starting to gain the appreciation from collectors that the 1800 Dimes have been long overdue.
