A rare GEM Civil War date Proof quarter. Only 460 were struck and few survive in such lofty grades. A pale, iridescent toning is gently dusted over highly reflective watery mirrors. Decent quality for the assigned grade, VERY RARE finer. PCGS 14, NGC 13. Going back to 2002, our auction database lists only nine examples having ever sold in auction, ranging from $3,105 to $6,612. The two most recent examples sold for $3,360 and $3,819. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,500. This coin has been off the market for nearly a dozen years. Good luck! Cert.
