What an AMAZING looking GEM 1918 Walker! The eye appeal is very high end, as is the technical quality. Tied for second FINEST graded, this is a very tough date to find in GEM, especially with CAC approval! Lustrous with a brilliant vibrancy and intense satin sheen, the surfaces are smooth with only a minor frost break here and there. Both sides show a light pearly texture to the luster, with some very subtle iridescent, clear gold tone. The devices are essentially fully struck up with sharp definition throughout. The eye appeal really is very nice and PQ. PCGS 141, NGC 116, CAC 38. Between PCGS and NGC there are only 14 graded MS65+ with only seven finer at NGC, all MS66. No NGC MS65+ has ever sold in auction. A non-CAC PCGS coin sold in March 2018 for $10,800, and a PCGS/CAC coin sold in our January 2018 Regency Auction for $8,519. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $8,500 and keep in mind there are no records for an NGC MS66. This coin will see very strong bidding for its inspired eye appeal and quality. Cert.
