A lovely, original GEM. Incredible copper red luster blooms all over, enlivening the deeper brick red patina that frames both sides. Clearly this beauty was carefully housed in a collector album, imparting this gorgeous rim toning. Sharply struck up devices stand out from the satiny surfaces. A minor tick on the cheek and a couple of unobtrusive toning flecks are seen on the reverse. The eye appeal is exceptional! PCGS 92, NGC 41, CAC 30. The last CAC-approved coin to sell in auction was the NGC MS66 RD CAC that sold for $2,640 in October 2021. The current PCGS and CAC published prices seem too low.
