FROM THE ISSAQUAH ESTATE We are sad to say, this was the last coin purchased from us. Issaquah bought the coin in 2017 from a major collection we built that we were then selling. We cannot say we have seen a better MS63 1854. No question this coin is a borderline MS64! Outstanding surfaces are just that. Only with a strong glass can you find a tick or two. In fact, you can actually count the ticks (and one reverse reeding mark) on your hands. The surface texture is both sleek and satiny. A light luster (typical for this date) beams from all over. Both sides enjoy a moderate and totally original mix of pale blue/pewter/gold/golden brown/lilac colors that are evenly spread all over. This is NOT a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is neat! PCGS 6, NGC 6, CAC 2. PCGS has graded 10 coins higher-do not be fooled by that. Only 2 are CAC. And good luck finding them! The last one to sell in auction brought $21,600 in April 2018. We placed this con from the collection we had built for $18,500 in 2017 (this coin never hit the open market). We are sure the next owner will enjoy this coin in their collection as much as Issaquah did. Its a great 1854 for sure! Cert. Number 26170110 PCGS # 6942
