- GUATEMALA. 8 Reales, 1841/37-NG MA. Nueva Guatemala Mint, Assayer "MA". NGC AU-58. KM-4. Five mountains with radiant sun rising, date below; Reverse: Ceiba Tree divides denomination. Tied with three other examples at this numeric grade with the finest example showing on the population reports being an MS-62. Upon close scrutiny there appears to be a re-engraving of the assayer's letter, though it is certainly open for interpretation. Sharply struck with muted yet lovely golden amber toning permeates the attractive surfaces. Estimate: $500 - $700. Provenance: From the Richard Stuart Collection. NGC AU-58.
