- (t) CHINA. Sinkiang. 5 Fen (1/2 Miscal), ND (1878). Yarkand Mint. PCGS AU-55. L&M-665; KM-Y-A7.15; WS-1141. Tied for second finest certified with three other examples on the PCGS population report, only one finer (MS 62). A remarkably attractive piece overall with original looking aqua gray surfaces. The bold devices are punctuated by hints of bright, dusty apricot tone, generating exceptional eye appeal. The surfaces do exhibit a bit of granularity mentioned for accuracy, but is hardly a distraction for this high grade minor issue. Estimate: $400 - $600.
