详细说明: 1805 Draped Bust Cent. S-267. Rarity-1. MS-62+ BN (NGC). Glossy and very appealing. The obverse is rich mahogany-brown with a touch of autumn-orange, while the reverse is bathed in warmer, more even steely-copper. A few reverse edge striking imperfections are noted for accuracy, as is a small planchet flaw on the obverse between the tops of the digits 05 in the date. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth, hard and tight. Some of the leaves in the wreath are blunt, most noticeably those at the top, but the balance of the detail on that side is bold, and Liberty's portrait is sharply rendered throughout. Breen Die State III. This is an impressive example at the certified MS-62+ grade level. It is among the nicest 1805 cents of the Sheldon-267 pairing that we have ever had the privilege of bringing to auction, and will have no difficulty finding its way into another high quality cabinet.
