This coin was parked away in a major gold collection for many years. One look and you have to own it! The coin is so close to AU58 (no promises). At first glance this coin has a satiny smooth kind of look. Only when using a strong glass can you see TINY scattered ticks. A very good luster beams from all over. Both sides are a pleasing and original even gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details display only light and even wear. Plus, they are all exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 5, NGC 11, CAC 2. This is the lone AU55+ by PCGS. It has never been sold via auction. It is important to note a PCGS AU55 CAC (NOT this coin) sold for $12,600 in August 2022. The current Collectors Universe value for this coin is only $17,500. How they figured that is the question, since NONE have been sold publicly. NOTE: a PCGS CAC AU58 sold for $33,600 in April 2022.
