详细说明: Only 9,434 were struck, making this a scarce date in any grade, usually seen in VF or XF grades. No question this is one of the FINEST KNOWN 1852-C's that still exist. In our humble opinion, it is a crime that it is not a "+" and had it been an MS65 we would not have flinched. This really is a KILLER quality near-GEM! Remarkable surfaces are extraordinarily clean and sleek. They have bold semi Prooflike mirrors, in fact, we grade the reverse a full MS65 PL and there is some slight contrast. Of course the luster is strong and ultra brilliant. Both sides are a totally original GEM Yellow gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and stand out. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 8, NGC 9, CAC 4. There is a complete dearth of auction data. A non-CAC example sold in an August 2020 internet only auction, but the last one to sell in a major auction was the BassII:61 coin sold in October 1999! That coin realized $20,700, way back in 1999! The lone MS65 last sold in 1992. WOW does that say a ton about the rarity of this coin! The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $27,500. We strongly feel the potential of this coin is unlimited! This coin belongs in a GEM C Mint, Gold Dollar set, or a Superb box of 20. We can't say enough about the great value offered here! Cert.
