- SWITZERLAND. 500th Anniversary of the Destruction of Basel Bronze Medal, 1856. PCGS SPECIMEN-64. cf. SM-1113 (silver); cf. Wunderly-2174 (same). Diameter: 45mm. Obverse: Personification of Basel seated left, head uplifted, extending hand and resting elbow upon coat-of-arms; city ruins in background; Reverse: Legend and date in six lines within wreath. Edge: Plain. Glossy brown surfaces, with a great deal of brilliance radiating in the fields.
